Calculate your email campaign click-through rate (CTR) and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
What is CTR (click-through rate)?
CTR (Click-Through Rate) is an email marketing metric showing what percentage of email recipients clicked at least one link in the email. CTR is calculated using the formula: (clicks / delivered emails) x 100%. It is one of the best measures of content effectiveness.
CTR vs CTOR - what is the difference?
CTR is calculated from all delivered emails, while CTOR (Click-to-Open Rate) is calculated only from opened emails. CTOR better shows content effectiveness as it eliminates the influence of the subject line. If CTR is low but CTOR is high, the problem is in the subject line, not the content.
How to improve CTR?
Use clear and prominent CTA (call-to-action) buttons, segment your audience and send relevant content, use personalization, optimize email design for mobile devices, and test different content variations with A/B tests.
